Cherrapunji’s community-led nature festival — trails, culture, cuisine, and folklore with Mawmluh Nature Guides. Next edition: 4–10 Oct 2026.

The Mawmluh Society hosts Cherrapunji’s first nature festival. The inaugural festival (28 Sep–4 Oct 2025) was organised by Mawmluh Tourism and Allied Activities Society with Titli Trust. The 2nd Mawmluh Nature Festival is planned for 4–10 October 2026. Expect nature trails, culture, cuisine, and folklore — hosted by Mawmluh Nature Guides. Stay in Mawmluh village; walk trails; go caving; experience local food and stories; visit Nongriat/Tyrna and Shella. Field surveys in the landscape have recorded strong diversity — 100+ butterflies, 250+ moths, 100+ birds, plus odonates, cicadas, and herpetofauna, including rare finds such as Calotes zolaiking.
